DÉBU STUDIO is operated by Baskk Pty Ltd. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website and by email, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

WHAT WE COLLECT

We only collect what we need to send you our guides and talk to you about a brand.

When you request the Buyer Guide, we collect your name and email address. When you email us, we collect your name, email address, and anything you choose to include. If you sign our confidentiality agreement, we collect your name and contact details. If you buy a brand, we collect what is needed to complete the sale and transfer ownership, such as your legal name, business details and billing information.

When you visit the site, we collect general information about your visit, such as pages viewed, device and browser type, and approximate location. This comes from cookies, which are small files stored by your browser, and does not identify you by name.

We do not ask for sensitive information, and we do not collect payment card numbers through the website.

HOW WE USE IT

We use your information to send you the Buyer Guide, reply to your enquiries, send occasional updates about new editions, and complete a sale if you buy a brand. We also use visit information to understand how the site is used and to show our advertising to people likely to be interested.

We never sell your information.

WHO WE SHARE IT WITH

We use a small number of established services to run the studio, and each only receives what it needs. Squarespace hosts the website and receives site visit information and form submissions. Flodesk sends our emails and receives your name and email address. Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram, measures and shows our advertising using site visit information collected by the Meta pixel. Our email provider receives the emails you send us.

We may also share information with our professional advisers, such as our lawyer or accountant, or where the law requires it.

COOKIES AND TRACKING

The site uses cookies from Squarespace to keep it working and measure visits, and from Meta to measure and show our advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work if you do.

WHERE IT IS STORED

The services we use store information on their own servers, some of which are outside Australia, including in the United States. We choose established providers and keep access to our accounts limited to the studio.

YOUR CHOICES

Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, or you can email us and we will remove you. You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, unless we need to keep it for legal or tax reasons, such as records of a sale.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, email us first and we will reply within 30 days. If it is not resolved, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
